Duomo – Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiore
Via della Canonica, 1 | Piazza del Duomo, 50122 Florence, Italy
Florence’s cathedral stands tall over the city with its dome. The Santa Maria dei Fiore is gorgeous on the outside and pretty but plain on the inside. The outside is by far more breathtaking than the inside, especially the front facade and the tower.

Entrance into Florence’s cathedral remains free and for this reason you’ll at times find a long line to get in. I recommend waking up extra early and getting there before 8 to experience the duomo with as little people as possible to appreciate the incredible handiwork and structures.
